Fees and Coverage

Fees

The flat rate for counselling sessions is $135.00 per hour.  

Payment

Mind Path Therapy accepts payment through cheque, PayPal and e-transfer. All telemedicine (i.e. phone and video) sessions must be fully paid two-hours prior to the appointment.

Insurance

Insurance coverage for Registered Social Work (RSW) and psychotherapy services are often covered under Employee Family Assistance Plans and/or through your individual insurance provider.

Clients are encouraged to ask their insurance provider about the extent of their annual employee coverage for Registered Social Work (RSW) or psychotherapy services.

Cancellation Policy

Mind Path Therapy has a 24-hour advance cancellation policy. A $90.00 cancellation fee will be applied to any appointments cancelled with less than 24-hours’ advance notice.

Privacy & Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to me. All my client’s information is kept secure and confidential in compliance with the Ethical Code of Conduct of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act.

Mind Path Therapy clients have the right to privacy and informed consent for psychotherapy services. Terms of service and informed consent forms are reviewed with clients at the outset of psychotherapy. Client records are kept in secure files and any electronic data exchanges (e.g., therapy notes over email) are written on password-protected documents whenever possible. None of your information will be shared with any third party without your verbal and written consent.

Email is not a secure form of communication therefore we encourage clients to only email information they are comfortable sharing publicly.

Mind Path Therapy uses a PHIPA-compliant online video platform called DoxyMe for all virtual sessions. Please note that while this platform uses end-to-end encryption that is difficult to breach, no online video communication is considered 100% secure.
